Mortal Engines

Reviewed by Lex, age 11
Mortal Engines is the first book in a four-book series. It is a book about cities that eat each other and use the parts to make their city larger. It is science-fiction. The main character is a boy named Tom, and he is a third-class historian apprentice who wants to advance in his class-system. Tom has adventures through the world of predator cities.
I recommend this book series because I feel like the author writes well-developed characters and offers lots of edge-of-your seat adventure!
